According to Greek mythology, the first fig tree came into being when the rebellious Sykes was transformed into a fig tree by his mother Gaia, the earth goddess, thus saving him from the wrath of Zeus. "Athenaean" is a reinterpretation of "Figuier," one of the collection's earlier fragrances. Here, the focus is on the fragrant wood of the fig tree. Aquatic green notes are harmoniously complemented by warm undertones of sandalwood, musk, and amber.
